Find Out About Colleges Financial Aid
Required Paperwork & Associated Timelines
Senior Year:
File all college admission application materials by stated deadlines, keeping in mind any special decision deadlines you may be considering such as Early Action or Early Decision |

File the FAFSA beginning January 1 of senior year, but no later than March 10 (if an Indiana resident) OR by other designated federal or college-imposed deadlines - Keep in mind some colleges may set an earlier FAFSA deadline for their applicants |

|
If applying to a college that utilizes an institutional methodology, file the CSS Profile or other required secondary financial aid form(s) by the designated deadline(s) set by the college - Keep in mind these deadlines may be earlier than any state, federal, or college-imposed FAFSA deadlines |

|
Receive official EFC in federal Student Aid Report, or SAR, within a few days or a few weeks of completing the FAFSA, depending on how the FAFSA was filed (electronically vs. paper form) |
|
|
Receive financial aid packages from colleges (typically March or April of the senior year) and respond to award offers as indicated in the award letters by the dates designated by the colleges |
