Indiana State Grants (money from the state of Indiana)

Frank O'Bannon Grant Program:

Higher Education Award* - given to Indiana students attending Indiana colleges
Freedom of Choice Grant* - given to Indiana students attending Indiana private/independent colleges






Part Time Grant - given to Indiana students attending Indiana colleges part time, based on institutional availability

Twenty-First Century Scholarship (need-based and merit-based program) - given to Indiana students who meet certain financial guidelines at the time of enrollment in 6th, 7th or 8th grade (only) and who fulfill the program's pledge; guarantees tuition at an Indiana public university (and a portion of the tuition at an Indiana private college) for eligible students who enroll and complete the program

*Note: The Higher Education Award, the Freedom of Choice Grant and the Part Time Grant are based on the Parent Contribution piece of the student's EFC and the tuition & fees of the college the student attends. The amount of the Higher Education Award and Freedom of Choice Grant are also influenced by the type of high school diploma received by the student.
